Vector Surveillance
Environmental

Vector surveillance is an Environmental Health (EH) program area that involves collecting and identifying common vector species (mosquitoes and ticks) that transmit disease. Additionally, EH can investigate mosquito complaints and offer abatement recommendations and education on preventing mosquito and tick bites. We do not conduct testing of mosquitoes or ticks for disease presence or treat areas for mosquitoes or tick presence.  The focus of this program is education.
