This is an update to the Georgia WIC Approved Milk-Based or Soy Infant Formula Powder Reference Guide that the Georgia Department of Public Health released on February 21, 2023:

Beginning June 1, 2023, temporarily approved nonstandard container sizes of contract formulas and the Enfamil NeuroPro product line will no longer be eligible for the WIC program.   Enfamil Infant, Enfamil Gentlease and Enfamil Prosobee Simply Plant Based powder in the standard WIC size cans are available for purchase with WIC benefits.  For more information, please see the formula guide below (can be clicked and downloaded), and click here to learn about all WIC services in our area on our North Georgia WIC page.

The North Georgia Health District is part of the Georgia Department of Public Health. This District is comprised of six counties including Cherokee, Fannin, Gilmer, Murray, Pickens, and Whitfield. Many programs and services exist throughout the district, all of which are designed to meet the needs of the people of North Georgia.

Our mission is to promote and protect the health of the people in the North Georgia Health District wherever they live, work and play, through population-based preventive programs including:

  Injury prevention
  Promotion and encouragement of healthy behaviors
  Responding to disasters and assisting communities to recover
  Assisting communities in assessing the quality and accessibility of health services.
