Request for Quotes: General Maintenance & Repair Services, Due 6/21

RFQ: GENERAL MAINTENANCE & REPAIR SERVICES

 
A.   INTRODUCTION
 
The Whitfield County Health Department (WCHD) is soliciting quotes from experienced contractors to provide general maintenance and repair services for the facilities located at 800 Professional Boulevard, Dalton, GA 30720. Services will be provided on an as-needed basis, tentatively scheduled to begin July 1, 2024. Responses will be evaluated to determine the best value based on contractor experience and qualifications as well as proposed hourly rate.

      1. Proposed hourly rate
      2. Experience and Qualifications
      3. Proof of Liability Certificate of Insurance
      4. References
    1. The proposed hourly rate must remain valid through June 30, 2025, and should include labor, tools, and routine equipment necessary and appropriate for the performance of services listed below.

Dalton, GA - Join the North Georgia Health District for FREE HIV Rapid Testing from The Living Bridge Center at our Summer Safety, Health Education, and Screening Event! It's all happening at the Mack Gaston Community Center in Dalton on National HIV Testing Day, Thursday, June 27th, from 9 AM to 1 PM. 

Many of our public health programs will be there to provide health information and services. These programs include:

About National HIV Day: June 27th is National HIV Testing Day (NHTD). First observed in 1995, this is a day to encourage people to get tested for HIV, know their status, and get linked to care and treatment.The theme for 2024, "Level up your self-love: check your status", emphasizes valuing yourself, showing yourself compassion and respect, and honoring your health needs with self-love. Knowing your HIV status helps you choose options to stay healthy. Anyone receiving a negative test result can access HIV prevention tools such as pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP), condoms, and other sexual health services, including vaccines and testing for sexually transmitted infections. People who receive a positive test result can immediately begin HIV treatment to stay healthy. All these services are available at The Living Bridge Center Ryan White HIV Clinics in the North Georgia Health District and at our Health Departments in Cherokee, Fannin, Gilmer, Murray, Pickens, and Whitfield counties. WIC Farmer's Market & School Health Fair at Pickens County Health Dept, June 11th

Join the Pickens County Health Department for the WIC FARMER'S MARKET & SCHOOL HEALTH FAIR on Tuesday, June 11th! The Farmers Market is from 2 to 7 PM. The School Health Fair is from 3:30 to 6:30 PM. The Pickens County Health Department is located at 60 Health Way Jasper, GA 30143.

WIC participants can receive fresh Georgia-grown fruits, vegetables and herbs. Call the clinic or stop in today for additional details. Farmer's Markets will be offered throughout the summer.
 
SCHOOL HEALTH FAIR DETAILS:
 
The new school year will be here before we know it! Stop in during the Farmer's Market for:
  • Vaccines & records
  • 3231 forms for school registration
  • 3300 Hearing, Vision & Dental screenings
  • Lead testing
  • Car seat education and free car seats for those who qualify 
No appointment is needed from 3:30-6:30PM for daycare & school-aged children - these visits are also available without an appointment Monday-Friday during business hours.
 
Karing Heartz CDC will also be on site on June 11th from 1 to 3 PM for the Free Summer Meals For Kids Kick-Off! Click HERE for details! And, our district's NGHD Community Overdose Response Program will be there, along with community partner Drug Free Cherokee, providing free information and resources for drug overdose and substance misuse prevention and response.
