FREEDOM FROM SMOKING ® STOP SMOKING CLINIC
Location: Murray County Health Department
Freedom From Smoking® is a program to help tobacco users break their addiction.
This eight-session program:
- Takes a step-by step approach to teaching smokers to quit;
- Covers stress management, weight control issues and social situations;
- Includes contact with quitters for a month after Quit Day;
- Is facilitated by certified Instructors who understand the issues of quitting;
Smokers teach themselves to smoke and practice the experience until it becomes an
“automatic” behavior. A process in which smokers (and spit tobacco users) consciously
“un-learn” the automatic behavior, substituting healthy new alternatives is used in this
program.
If you would like to participate or need additional information, contact the Murray County
Health Department (706) 695-4585.
