Attention Georgia Healthcare Providers and Community Advocates:

Count the Kicks is an evidence-based public health program that teaches expectant parents the method for and importance of monitoring their baby's movements every day in the third trimester of pregnancy.  Healthcare providers and community advocates are invited to attend a FREE 60-minute webinar on Feb. 8th at 10am EST to learn more about the importance of educating on fetal movement monitoring in the third trimester and how to implement Count the Kicks in your setting. Join us to learn how you can help improve birth outcomes for expectant parents in Georgia.

Research shows a change in a baby’s movements could be the earliest and sometimes only indication there may be an issue with a pregnancy. Count the Kicks is a SIMPLE and FREE way for expectant parents to self-monitor to improve the chance of delivering a healthy baby, and by doing so, reduce stillbirths. According to the CDC, one out of every 175 pregnancies in the U.S. ends in stillbirth.

We hope you will join us on Feb. 8th at 10am EST to learn more. Together, we can help to deliver more healthy babies and improve birth outcomes in Georgia.

About Count the Kicks

In the first 10 years of the Count the Kicks campaign in Iowa, the state’s stillbirth rate decreased nearly 32% while stillbirth rates in the rest of the country remained relatively stagnant. We want to bring the success of this proven campaign to Georgia. With your help, we can continue to spread the word in your state and potentially save 321 babies every year.

We are able to offer healthcare providers and community advocates FREE Count the Kicks educational materials due to apartnership with the Georgia Department of Public Health and Georgia Strong Families. These materials, which include brochures, app promotional cards, and posters in English and Spanish, can be ordered on our website. These bright yellow educational materials will help you have a conversation about fetal movement monitoring with expectant parents.
